mbination is the chassis tipper lead with a 6 axle dog chassis tipper GLT has the ability to build bodies onto all popular brands of trucks. All nuts, bolts and washers are stainless steel. Grain scrapers, shovels, brooms and grain chutes are equipped as standard. Every truck body is professionally detailed before it is delivered to the customer.

All GLT aluminium bodies are fabricated from European sourced marine grade aluminium plate. Floor and wall sheet thicknesses can be customised to suit the application.

Each body is built on our exclusive extruded aluminium floor beams. The beams are specifically cambered to suit the body length. The process of welding the floor sheet to the beams and cambering the beams all happens simultaneously.

Top coamings are also an exclusive aluminium extrusion. These specialised extrusions increase the tub body strength while maintaining exceptional tare weight. All top coamings are either huck riveted or bolted with stainless steel bolts. This method of construction allows the coaming to flex and reduces the risk of cracking.

All trailers with a king pin position less then 1400mm come standard with a Jost body lock. GLT bodies are designed to have the hoist feet mounted directly above the king pin to increase strength and stability while tipping. Bodies with upright hoists need the body lock to help hold the body in position while traveling.

Body Type Options Include
Graham Lusty Trailers straight body type

Straight Body - This standard body type is a strong, cost effective and a light weight option. Choose from two body widths: Narrow - 2,330mm or Wide (standard) - 2,480mm.

Side Wall Options Include

Plate – 4mm to 12mm thickness.Choose from either mill finish, mill bright (polished), painted or vinyl.

Standard Lower Curve - The GLT lower curve is an exclusive extrusion. The side sheet and floor sheet slot into the extrusion before they are hand welded into place.

Graham Lusty Trailers pressed side wall option

Pressed Sides – GLT can remove the lower curve and press the side sheet to meet the floor sheet. This will reduce the tare weight by around 70kg. It also increases the strength of the tubs making it an ideal option for carrying liquid based goods.

Plank – GLT custom extruded planks. These are ideal for maximum height bodies as they reduce the amount of side wall bulge. This option will increase the trailer tare weight by around 80kg depending on length and height.

Front Sheet Options Include
Graham Lusty Trailers standard flat front sheet option

Standard Flat Front Sheet - This is our standard front sheet which is 5mm thick with a polished finish. Other thicknesses and finishes are available.

Graham Lusty Trailers rounded front sheet

Rounded Front Sheet - This option is ideal for carrying liquid based products. The front sheet is specially rolled before being welded into the place. As liquids move forward when decelerating, the shape of the front sheet reduces the liquid's impact. We recommend a thickness of 6mm to add stiffness to the front sheet which reduces fatigue.

Each truck body is mounted to our sub frame which is fabricated from a mixture of RHS, 700 grade and 350 grade profiles.

GLT Subframe

Sub frames are sand blasted and then painted to match your truck chassis colour. Body Rear pivot points are fabricated onto the sub frame and also bolted onto the truck chassis.

Ringfeder assemblies are custom built to suit each truck. Our team fabricate the assembly from 700, 350 and 250 grade steel. Just like the sub frame, all steel parts are sand blasted and painted to match the truck chassis.

Trailer Options
Rollover with Pelmets

By far our most popular option. The tarp rolls up neat and tidy out of the way when loading. When unrolled, the tarp offers a high level of cover to protect your load.  Compared to the QLD style tarp, the roll over is easier for the operator to use, reducing OH&S risks. Side drop is 300mm standard and can be increased to 600mm. A full range of colours available. Razor electronic tarp upgrade available on this tarp.

QLD Style

If you want the most water proof tarp option, tick this option. Tarps come standard with 300mm long flaps front and rear which are pull down tight to seal the front and rear of the tub. The side drop is standard at 600mm. This gives you a bit of extra room to roll over the heaped loads while still getting a tight seal along the side of the tub. A full range of colours are available.

Retractable with flap ends

These tarps retract forward to allow loading. The rear part of the tarp has a flap end which is pulled down tight to seal the rear of the trailer once loaded. The tarp supports can range from 200mm to 350mm high.  Retractable tarps are not waterproof and leaking can occur.  A full range of colours are available. 

Retractable with plate ends

These tarps retract forward to allow loading. The rear part of the tarp has a sliding aluminium pelmet.  The tarp supports can range from 200mm to 350mm high.  Retractable tarps are not waterproof and leaking can occur.  A full range of colours are available.  

Hooded

Custom designed in-house by our boffins, this system uses hydraulic cylinders to open and close the hoods. The structure is made from aluminium to reduce tare weight. This system has a fast opening time at 10 seconds flat. A full range of colours are available.

Tarp Controls - Manual

Manual tarps come with stainless steel handles.  Sliders and rollbacks come equipped standard with telescopic handles. All other trailers are equipped with fixed length handles as standard with telescopic as an option. 

Tarp Controls - Razor Electrical

Let technology do the hard work for you. Razor is available on the retractable and roll over tarps with pelmets. This system is supplied with a Razor remote control. 

Tarp Material - PVC

This material is water-tight and comes in a range of colours. Ideal choice for operators wanting maximum protection from the elements.

Tarp Material - Mesh

Lightweight and permeable, this material comes in a range of colours.

Tarp Support - Flexbow

Strong and flexible.  These supports are made from composite material which bend and flex back into place.  We bolt the bows into place so they always flex back at the correct angle. 

Tarp Support - Rolled Aluminium RHS

This is a popular option for operators wanting a tough alternative to Flexbows. These supports can be spaced at custom intervals. 

Tarp Support - Air Flip Over Bar

This air-operated tarp support can be operated from either the trailer via a push/pull switch or truck cabin controlled switches. The bar and centre pelmet is designed to be contamination free.

Tarp Support - Steel Bows

These bows are mounted into our standard flex bow pockets and bolted. These supports can be spaced at custom intervals.

Custom Spacing

Our standard light spacing interval is 1300-1500mm. If you want more light bling then we can go as close as 300mm between lights. We also offer lights at the top of the side sheets at matching intervals.

Work Lights

Work lights can be fitted to the tailgates, wings on RediTips and within the tubs either up the front near the hoist well or near the rear door.

Top of Tailgate Lights

Choose from either 9, 10, 12 or 14 lights at the top of the tailgate.

Hinge - 1 Way

Tailgate pivots from the top only.

Hinge - 2 Way

Tailgate can pivot from either the top or the side.  A parrot beak and pivot bolt is needed to allow the 2 way system to work. 

Barn Door

This door style uses container style locks and stainless steel hinges. The doors can be fixed open with latches.

Hinge - External

Our most popular type of hinge. This hinge sits outside of the body.

Hinge - Internal

This hinge allows for the rear door to close flush. Some people say that this hinge type is pretty good looking, too.p>

Finish - Standard

The rear of the tailgate has the internal support posts exposed. This style door is our lightest door.

Finish - Reverse

This style gives the door a clean finish. There is a weight penalty of around 50-80kgs. The inside of the door is still a flush finish just like the standard tailgate.

Finger Locks - 4 Fingers

The fingers and assembly are fabricated from stainless steel. You can choose from either manually operated or air operated. Air operated 4 finger locks have a single air ram which provides to locking force.

Finger Locks - 7 Fingers

The fingers and assembly are fabricated from stainless steel. You can choose from either manually operated or air operated. Air operated 7 finger locks have 2 air rams which provides to locking force.

Grain Locks - Manual

Select from either single or double manual grain locks.  Our grain lock handles are fabricated from stainless steel.  The wear pads are mounted to the tailgate and made from stainless steel.

Grain Locks - Air

We offer 2 different types of air grain locks.  The upright and the horizontal verison.  Both options give exceptional sealing pressure.  Air grain locks are syncronised with the air finger locks - all off the one push/pull switch. 

Juice Locks & Door Plugs

Recommend for operators wanting to cart products such as hides. These locks are manually operated and provide excellent sealing pressure. The door plug seals the grain door water tight.

Split Tailgates

This option is suited to tailgates where clearance with the ground or other trailers is an issue. We can do a single or a double split. The split is controlled by a single or twin air ram.

Mill Finish

This is our base level finish.  It's a natural granular finish and holds up pretty well to staining.

Mill Bright Polished Finish

Want to maintain a high level of upper body fitness?  This super shiny sheet will require lots of polishing to maintain the mirror finish.  Is it worth it? Yes, these sheets look amazing!

Painted

Choose from a large range of colours to personalise your trailers. We use only premium quality paints.

Plank Side Powder Coated

Our planks come standard with white powder coating. If you require different colouring, please allow a 6 week turnaround.

Vinyl

A popular option. The vinyl is applied in 1400mm wide drops with a slight overlap. Each drop can be replaced if they get damaged, making it less expensive to maintain compared to paint.

Signwriting

Give your company an advertising boost. We have contractors who specialise in truck and trailer signwriting. They will work closely with you to custom design your signage layout.

Plastic Radius Guards

Choose from a range of colours.  Our standard brand is Maxus with other brands such as Truckmate.  Our radius guards are mounted to the chassis by a 8mm thick alumimium bracket, making them very strong and stable. 

Chrome Dress Strips

Dress up your radius guards with chrome dress strips.  These look great and finish off the guard area nicely. 

Stainless Steel Radius Guards

If you want the bling look then stainless steel radius guards are the go.  We recommend the ribbed type as they hold up to rougher conditions better.

Splash Guards

The simple clean way to finish off the guards on a B trailer. Horse hair is added to reduce water spray.

Conveyor Guards

Built to handle the harsh Australian environment. Rubber can range in thickness and colour.
